Yoga class descriptions
Baby and Caregiver will utilize songs and games such as versions of nursery rhymes to teach caregivers how to bond with their babies, reducing crying. They will also utilize storytime and choose appropriate books to read to the children that teach principles that are compatible with the philosophy of yoga.
Caregiver and Toddler Class. Teachers will utilize songs, games, activities, and rhymes giving caregivers greater resources bond with their toddlers, reducing tantrums. They will also utilize storytime and choose appropriate books to read to the children that teach principles that are compatible with the philosophy of yoga. The introduction of ABCs, Counting, and colors will be taught in this class.
The preschool class will also utilize songs, games, activities, and rhymes but will be held without caregivers present. Preferably caregivers will drop the child off. With this, the student will add their own stories and yoga games such as “Yoga hop” “ABC game”, and "create a story".
Elementary age children will begin to learn the Iyengar method, in a very playful manner. In short periods with games, activities, songs, and stories included in between sequences. Games such as “ Eye spy with my yogi eye” or “Yoga-libs”, “Bleep Yoga”, and "Vampire Poser". As children learn poses through the sequences and play with poses through the interaction with the class they will develop a love for yoga throughout their life.
The teenage class will continue to learn within the Iyengar method, focusing on their agility, energy, and spirit. Longer sequences will be created for them and they will learn not only games but also how to create their own sequences for home practice. Their games will include ones such as “Yoga name game”, “Pose name game”, "Yogi Pass"
